Bob Hope’s birth in 1903 could  not have been more advantageously timed. It allowed him to gain valuable experience in vaudeville, move on to radio and then to television while all the while starring in movies.  It was a “perfect storm” in American entertainment that’s unlikely ever to recur.

At age 38, I abruptly left the practice of law to pursue a career as a Hollywood comedy writer.  At the time, some said I was crazy tossing away a sought-after profession for which I was trained and licensed.  The decision changed my life and increased my chances of living to a ripe old age.  I did it and you can, too!
